Perpetua Sensor Discs™ are completely autonomous custom engineered
wireless sensor package. These units include a high-performance
renewable power source, low- temperature heat transfer packaging,
power conditioning electronics, RF modules, and integrated sensors.
Power Source Technology
Perpetua self-powered units are based on an advancement in thermoelectric
generator (TEG) technology and high-performing power conditioning
electronics.
Building on over 10 years of
development, Perpetua engineers have developed a new Flexible Thermoelectric
Film™ technology that produces reliable energy from temperature
differences as low as 2ºC. The technology produces higher voltages
than traditional TEGs, eliminating the need for ‘boost’
electronics in most applications and leading to greater efficiencies.
Sensor and RF Components
Modules can be buit with either on-module chip sensors and antennas
or with external plug ins. Either can be supported by ultra low
power applications, in combination with long transmission range.
Perpetua Sensor Discs feature:
• Full product package - integrated power source, RF &
sensors
• Modular and easily scalable
• Chip antenna integrated in module or external antenna
• IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee compliant
• Compact and extremely durable packaging
• Operates over wide temperature conditions beyond most battery
thresholds
• Ultra-long life reduces or entirely eliminates costly battery
replacements
